This year's convention theme video was two parts.  My partner produced the first part with the character traits.  I produced the second portion after viewing a promo for another company that I used as a basis.  I went through our footage and came up with the clips and edited the video wall portion of the video which becomes the ship on the sea.  The footage of the conventions were shot with Sony studio cameras (of which I was one of the four operators), and the rest of the footage was shot with the Sony Z7.  I edited the video wall with Premiere Pro and used After Effects to move the video walls I made and dissolve it to the animation of the ship on the sea, also produced in After Effects.

Rally Theme Video

This video was used last summer during our main student convention and is actually two videos used back to back to introduce the theme for the week. The first part is titled "Run The Race" and was intended to get the students hearts and minds focused on living their lives for Christ. I was highly involved in all aspects of the project; pre production, production, and post production. During the running shots I was driving the van that my co-worker was shooting out the back or side of. The second part was aimed to get the students excited about the events they would see/be involved in during the week yet reinforce the theme and prepare them for the exciting opening rally they were about to enjoy. I did all the editing using Premiere Pro and After Effects. Some of the effects would have been easier if we had shot the clips in front of a green screen, but the footage that we had to use was shot from the competitions from the year before in their live environments. Not only did that make it more challenging, but made the end result more rewarding as well.

Service Project Promo

I had the opportunity to go onto a service project that my company offers to students. I spent a whole day recording the majority of what they do for two weeks. This is the project that my co-worker edited with the footage and interviews that I shot. The first part of the video (of different scenic shots around the world) is stock footage, but from the first testimonial on all of the video was shot by me.

Convention Promo

This video I produced as a promo to be played for churches and schools that already use our products to promote and inform about the conventions that we offer. I shot the video with the Sony Z7 and edited this with Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium. The two globe animations are Jump Backs and the music is from Stack Traxx. I recorded myself for the voice over, lit and shot the interviews, and used Photoshop to manipulate the stock photos in the opening portion of the video.

Three Rally Intros

These are a series of videos that I taped and edited as intros to a convention.  Yes, the black and white is intentional.  We were going with a silent movie theme and I used special effects to make it reminiscent of the old silent movies.  The two gentlemen being picked up and taken to Pre-Rally in the videos are leading the fun and games portion of the rallies and these videos are used to set up how they came into the rallies. I used Premiere Pro to edit these videos. I had one morning to shoot all three episodes with the Sony Z7 and I edited them in one and a half days. The music is from Digital Juice's Stack Traxx.

At the end of Episode 1 they came riding in on the little bikes.

At the end of Episode 2 you see a low shot, and then they came in with Roy and Emory "riding" their manager as he came in on all fours.

And at the end of Episode 3 they were escorted in to Pre-Rally by security.
